Marko Marin was perhaps Chelsea’s best player during pre-season, but since then the German hasn’t really featured for Chelsea much. A couple of minutes here and there and one start in the capital one cup was clearly not what any of us expected after his impressive displays against the likes of PSG & Seattle in Summer.
But finally, we have answers. Here’s what Marko Marin told the huge German newspaper, “Kicker!”
“I’m starting to get over my injury problems, and feel ready to play. Rafa, the new coach, has told me he wants to “build me” carefully and use caution so that I don’t experience a setback.”
So we now know, that it is purely because of injuries – something which Marko Marin unfortunately suffers from quite frequently. Hopefully the Chelsea physios’ll do something about that, somehow.
He also said that there was no way he was leaving Chelsea yet, having been linked to clubs like QPR & Leverkusen in Germany.
“I have had no calls. A return to the Bundesliga is currently not an issue.”
