Predicted Bolton Wanderers Lineup To Take On Oldham Athletic
After the disappointment of losing at Scunthorpe, predictable though it may have been, Bolton will look to bounce back here knowing that defeat may well hand Sheffield United the league title.
In all truth, Bolton will know they probably can’t win the division anyway, but victory would give them one foot in the Championship as runners-up and so getting quickly back on track is desirable.
They will surely try hard and get 3 points to delay Sheffield United’s success as much as possible.

Manager: Phil Parkinson
Formation: 3-5-2
GK – Mark Howard
With 10 clean sheets to his name this season, Howard would be hoping to be picked again ahead of Ben Alnwick in goal.
CB – Dorian Dervite
The Frenchman may continue at the back in a solid-looking three back formation with Dervite occupying the rightmost position in the back three.
CB – David Wheater
A 40th game of the season beckons for the former Middlesbrough man, a stalwart at Bolton now. He will start alongside Dorian Dervite.
CB – Mark Beevers
Surely his goal scoring exploits are done for the season? Beevers has anyway been employed for his defensive capabilities and can expect his 42nd appearance of the campaign.
RM – Filipe Morais
3 goals and an incredible 12 assists in the league this season for Morais is a great record and he should keep his place on the right-hand side of the midfield. The 31-year-old Portuguese is a vital supply line for the forwards.
CM – Jay Spearing
The former Liverpool midfielder has plenty of experience and quality and will be vital to the midfield cause once again.
CM – Josh Vela
Improving nicely and playing more games as each season goes by, Vela has now added goals to his game and will be looking to get into double figures for the season in this game.
CM – Darren Pratley
Not many games for the former Swansea man this season, but he’s another one with tons of experience in the game and his cool head could be crucial during the run-in.
LM – Dean Moxey
Chiefly a defender, of course, Moxey is not quite as good going forward as Morais is on the other side but commits to the job and will not let Bolton down.
ST – Adam Le Fondre
The 30-year-old has still got it as he has scored 5 goals in 15 games in League One this season. Should Le Fondre find space in this game there would be no doubt about Morais supplying him with chances. He would love to help secure promotion before possibly heading back to Cardiff.
ST – Max Clayton
It’s a close call between Clayton and Conor Wilkinson should Gary Madine not make the game, but the former Crewe man might just get the nod up front. He’s out of contract this summer and needs to impress between now and the season end.
