Mitrovic to lead the line – Strongest 4-3-3 Fulham line-up to face Birmingham City

Fulham are about to play one of the most important games of their season. Unfortunately, they don’t hold their future entirely in their own hands, but they must beat Birmingham City if they want to secure an automatic promotion to the Premier League.

This is also a massive game for Birmingham City – they must also win, but for an entirely different reason. City need to ensure they will continue playing Championship football next season as well. They must get a victory to stave off the threat of Barnsley and Burton below them.

Team Injury News

Fulham have no new injury concerns.

Predicted Fulham XI to face Birmingham City

Manager: Slavisa Jokanovic

Formation: 4-3-3

Marcus Bettinelli (GK)

The 25-year-old failed to do much against Sunderland but he has excelled throughout the season and will be looking to finish well.

Ryan Fredericks (RB)

Fredericks had a good game against Sunderland – he looked sluggish at first, but Fulham really started to dominate when he got further forward. Offers width to this attacking side.

Denis Odoi (CB)

Odoi has excelled at the back for Fulham this year and he will be hoping to help his team get over the line.

Tim Ream (CB)

The experienced centre-back has been top quality for Fulham this season. He has organised the defence well and has also chipped in with a few goals.

Tim Ream

 Matt Targett (LB)

Targett limped off with an injury against Sunderland but he is due to be back for this game. An important player for Fulham, as he allows Ryan Sessegnon to push further forward.

Stefan Johansen (CM)

The Norweigan midfielder has been top quality for Fulham this season. He tackles well and is adept at initiating attacks for the Cottagers.

 Kevin McDonald (CM)

The 29-year-old has defended admirably from the midfield area this season. He excelled against Sunderland and protected the defence well.

Tom Cairney (CM)

Cairney could not do much against Sunderland but he has been top quality for Fulham for the last two seasons. Will be looking to build a good platform in this game for next season.

Ryan Sessegnon (LW)

The attacking midfielder has been fantastic and he is a menace to defences with his pace and skill.

Lucas Piazon (RW)

The on-loan Chelsea star has been impressive and it will be interesting to see what his future holds in the summer.

Aleksander Mitrovic (ST)

Another incredible loan signing for the Cottagers, Mitrovic has 12 goals in 14 games and his total just keeps rising.
