Mounie Out, Depoitre In – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Huddersfield Line-up To Face West Brom On Saturday

Predicted Huddersfield Line-up To Face West Brom In The Premier League

Huddersfield Town will play hosts to Tony Pulis’ West Bromwich Albion, in gameweek 11 of the Premier League, on Saturday.

The Terriers will be low on confidence after being beaten 3-0 by Liverpool last weekend and manager David Wagner will be hoping that his team bounces back with a strong performance and three points against the Baggies, who themselves haven’t been in the best of forms of late. Huddersfield are currently placed 13th in the league standings.

Team News

Winger Rajiv van La Parra is a major doubt for the game due to a groin strain. He joins the likes of Michael Hefele (Achilles) and Kasey Palmer (Hamstring) on the treatment tables, both of whom are expected to return to action in mid-November. Midfielder Philip Billing is ruled out of action until the new year, owing to an ankle injury, while Jon Gorenc-Stankovic is a long-term absentee with an Anterior Cruciate Ligament damage.

Here’s how the Terriers might line up at the John Smith Stadium, on Saturday:

Manager: David Wagner

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Jonas Lossl (GK)

The on-loan Danishman has been impressive between the sticks for the Terriers. Set to make his 11th Premier League appearance.

Tommy Smith (RB)

The captain of the club, Tommy Smith is a constant presence on the right-hand side of the defence for Huddersfield and that should remain the same.

Tommy Smith

Christopher Schindler (CB)

The 27-year old has played every single minute of Huddersfield’s Premier League campaign so far. Should once again line up on Saturday.

Mathias Jorgensen (CB)

The Dane has forged a solid partnership alongside Schindler and will partner him once again in the heart of the defence.

Chris Lowe (LB)

The 28-year old German left-back should start once again for Wagner’s side, ahead of summer signing Scott Malone.

Jonathan Hogg (CM)

The English midfielder has been impressive since his return from the injury layoff. Should keep his place in the Terriers’ midfield.

Aaron Mooy

Danny Williams (CM)

The 28-year old USMNT midfielder will continue to partner Hogg in the middle of the park, for the encounter against the Baggies.

Elias Kachunga (RW)

The Congolese forward did not start last week, but with Van La Parra unavailable, he should come back into the starting XI, on the right flank.

Aaron Mooy (CAM)

The Australian midfielder is one of Huddersfield’s most important players and should start in an advanced central midfield role against West Brom.

Tom Ince

Tom Ince (LW)

On the left-hand side, it should be summer signing Tom Ince who could start against Pulis’ side. Is yet to score or assist a goal so far and will be keen on changing that.

Laurent Depoitre (ST)

Spearheading the attack for the Terriers should be Laurent Depoitre. The former Porto man has scored twice so far and will want to add one or two more on Saturday.
