Murty To Make 2 Changes – Strongest 4-3-3 Rangers Line-up To Face Motherwell

Predicted Rangers Line-up To Face Motherwell In Scottish Premiership

Rangers will look to get back to winning ways when they face off against Motherwell, on Wednesday night at the Ibrox Stadium.

The Gers are coming on the back of two consecutive losses to St. Johnstone and Partick Thistle and are placed 3rd in the Scottish Premiership table, 11 points behind leaders Celtic and 3 behind Aberdeen who are 2nd. Manager Graeme Murty will be keen on bouncing back with a win against the Steelmen, especially with the Old Firm derby against Celtic coming up next.

Team News

Ryan Jack returns from his suspension for Rangers while Jordan Rossiter, Lee Wallace, Kenny Miller and Graham Dorrans are out due to injuries. Bruno Alves, who missed the weekend encounter against the Killies with a niggle, is expected to be fit and available for the clash.

Here’s how the Gers might take the field against Motherwell on Wednesday:

Manager: Graeme Murty

Formation: 4-3-3

Wes Foderingham (GK)

The Englishman has been the preferred option between the sticks for the Light Blues and that is unlikely to change for the midweek clash.

James Tavernier (RB)

Has been a bright spot for the Gers this season, with his attacking forays down the right-hand side. Should keep his place at right-back.

Bruno Alves (CB)

The veteran defender should come back into the starting line-up after missing the weekend game due to injury, with David Bates set to make way.

Bruno Alves

Danny Wilson (CB)

The 5-time capped Scottish international should be in line for his 14th appearance of the season across all competitions.

Declan John (LB)

Started in an advanced role on the left side and scored a goal over the weekend. A definite starter, albeit in a more natural left-back role.

Jason Holt (CM)

An ever-present in Murty’s line-up, the 24-year old Jason Holt should once again take his place in the middle of the park for the Gers.

Ross McCrorie (DM)

The youngster has been one of the biggest positives of the season for the Light Blues. Will be the deepest of the midfield trio against Motherwell.

Ryan Jack (CM)

The summer signing will be available for selection following his one-match ban. Should be reinstated to the Rangers’ midfield.

Ryan Jack

Daniel Candeias (RW)

On the right-hand side of the attack, Portuguese winger Daniel Candeias is expected to keep his place. Needs to start delivering more goals for his side.

Alfredo Morelos (ST)

The young forward has bounced back from a fairly long dry spell and will be keen on making the most of his current form.

Josh Windass (LW)

Completing the attacking trident for the Gers against the Steelmen should be Englishman Josh Windass. Will be keen on adding to his tally of 6 goals.
