Mudryk was born into a Christian family in Krashnohrad, a small town in the Dnipro area of Ukraine. The 2001-born winger has maintained his religious beliefs throughout his life, as he often talks about his faith whenever he has the chance to.
The young winger quickly joined up with local team Metalist Kharkiv in his early years, and at age 13, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk approached the Ukrainian club with an offer to snap up young Mudryk.

At age nine, Mudryk joined his first club, Metalist Kharkiv, where he played as a forward for four years before joining the youth system of Dnipro at age 13. Mudryk’s performances through several age groups in Dnipro earned him nationwide attention, with clubs like Shakhtar Donetsk calling for his signature in 2016.

Shakhtar Donetsk snapped Mudryk up in 2016 at just 15 years old. The young winger impressed with the club’s youth setup, and in the 2018–19 season, he made it to the under-21 team. One year later, Mudryk was swiftly promoted to the first team of the Ukrainian club and made his debut at age 17.
However, his road to consistent first-team football hit a snag as he found regular minutes hard to come by, which led him to force a move to another Ukrainian club, Arsenal Kyiv.
He played for Arsenal Kyiv till the end of that 18/19 season before joining Desna Chernihiv for the following season. He would spend the next four months at the club, qualifying for the Europa League’s third qualifying round and getting 10 matches of top-flight football under his belt.
Mudryk was the biggest benefactor of Roberto De Zerbi’s arrival at the club for the 2021–2022 season. He was included more in the starting lineup and was quickly made the first-choice left-winger.
