Newcastle United opinion: Should the Magpies make a move for Ritsu Doan?

The Magpies were heavily linked with a move in December, with the Chronicle Live reporting that the club scouted the young star and it’s time they finish the job.

Extremely talented, Doan has the potential and the talent to become a really good midfielder and has already showcased his skills in the Eredivisie.

Last season he finished with 10 goals and 4 assists in all competitions, contributing to seven goals this season. It shows his ability to consistently find the net and more importantly, his ability to do so at the most opportune moments.

He’s netted crucial goals in three games that would have seen his side end up on the losing side. Furthermore, the young midfielder is very highly thought off in Japan, with him already making over a dozen appearances for the national side.

A very talented player, Ritsu Doan has a bright future ahead of him and one that Newcastle United can be a part of. The Magpies have a good squad but with the right additions, it can become even better.
