Chelsea will look to continue their great run of form as they take on a hapless Newcastle United team at St. James’ Park. Newcastle might have started the season with a couple of decent performances but manager Steve McClaren has not tasted victory for the side and the side will be under a lot of pressure to perform in front of a vociferous home crowd.
Chelsea will be without the services of Diego Costa, who will be serving his suspension for his part at Arsenal and with the Chelsea striker not in action, we predict the starting lineup for the Blues in this clash of two teams still trying to find their way in the league.
Asmir Begovic
The second choice goalkeeper at Chelsea should continue to play in goal due to the injury of Thibaut Courtois.
Cesar Azpilicueta
The Spaniard should be an automatic selection down the left but will be facing stiff competition from Baba Rahman soon.
Gary Cahill
Gary Cahill could be the most senior centre back against Newcastle as John Terry could miss out again. Cahill should be looking to make this chance count and hopefully nail down a position for good.
Kurt Zouma
Zouma was very effective and impressive against Arsenal and should keep his place in the centre of defence in place of John Terry.
Branislav Ivanovic
The much-vilified right-back put up a great showing against Walsall and should keep his place for this game against Newcastle.
Cesc Fabregas
Cesc needs to find his ability on the pitch and hopefully he can achieve that when he takes to the field against a team still searching for their first win of the season.

Nemanja Matic
The Serbian did not play for Chelsea against Walsall and should be fresh to face Newcastle away from home.
Eden Hazard
Eden Hazard scored against Arsenal but he still doesn’t look to be at his best, maybe a chance to take on Newcastle’s defence is exactly what he needs.
Oscar
The Brazilian will be looking to do better for the team than his recent performances and playing behind the striker should give him more control of the Chelsea attack.
Pedro
Pedro didn’t play midweek and should be fresh to start down the wing for Chelsea against a side that beat them in the corresponding fixture last season.

Loic Remy
Remy might have scored against Walsall but playing against Premier League opposition is tough and hopefully he can continue his scoring run against Newcastle.
