Norwich should not hesitate to spend big and sign this 24-year-old Polish ace since he could be a massive difference-maker for Farke and his men next season

Norwich City Opinion: Why Karol Linetty will be a good fit for the Canaries?

Norwich City are a team in full cry and bolstered their promotion hopes with a comprehensive victory over Bolton Wanderers last weekend.

Despite leaking goals on occasion, the Terriers’ backline has been solid and strength in midfield has allowed Daniel Farke to utilize his resources properly.

Teemu Pukki has stolen the limelight and for all good reasons, netting 23 league goals already after signing on a free transfer from Brondby last summer.

The Canaries are very likely to play in the Premier League if they keep on continuing the good work they’ve been doing. Norwich did well to strengthen their squad last summer but they need to strengthen even further to compete with the Premier League teams.

To be more precise, they need another lively and intelligent central midfielder in their ranks. To put things into perspective, Farke should make a move for Sampdoria star Karol Linetty ahead of the upcoming season.

Karol Linetty, 24, has been a star performer for Sampdoria ever since he joined from Polish club Lech Poznan in 2016. The 24-year-old has once again enjoyed a solid season in the Serie A, impressing with his skill and energy in the middle of the park.

The Poland international is a technically-gifted central midfielder who is very solid on the ball and has a bit of skill to go with his vision, crisp passing and work rate. Karol Linetty can make timely interceptions and is also not afraid to stick his leg out to halt opposition’s advances.

Add to that his ability to create chances for his teammates and pop up with the odd makes him a really valuable asset to any team in Europe. All in all, Linetty will be a good fit for Daniel Farke’s brand of football at the Carrow Road, and at 24, the Pole still has a lot of time to develop and improve his game even more.

Conclusion

Linetty will be the perfect candidate to replace Alex Tettey who is currently playing in the twilight years of his football career.

Due to his ability to slot in various roles across the midfield coupled with his international experience, the acquisition of the Pole will be a shrewd move for the Canaries which is why the club should go all out to secure his services in the summer.
