Opinion: Arsenal Need To Act Fast If They Really Want To Sign This Manchester United Target

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Arturo Vidal, but one of their rivals could steal the march and sign the Chilean international. Juventus have always stated that the right price for a player would probably help them sell, Vidal might be one of the most important players for Juventus at the moment but his transfer to another club, especially if someone pays the big bucks wouldn’t be a problem for Juventus.

Vidal to Arsenal?

Arsenal have spent a lot of cash in bring top players to the club over the past two seasons and if they are to sign Vidal, they would have to spend a huge amount. That shouldn’t be a problem for Arsene as he mounts a challenge for the Premier League title, the biggest question arising would be regarding where Vidal would play in an Arsenal team that features so many midfielders?

A world-class player fighting for his role

The 27-year-old would be an invaluable asset for Arsenal, the Gunners have been searching for that replacement for Patrick Vieira for years and they just might have found that player in Vidal. The Chilean is an excellent tackler and has great stamina, he can cover the back four easily and still run about from one end of the field to the other.

Vidal is the defensive midfielder every club wants, not only can be tackle well, but he has great distribution as well, that would be great for Arsenal as they can launch quick attacks with Vidal playing the destroyer and passer in midfield for the Gunners. This would obviously mean that the young Francis Coquelin would be put on the bench, but that is for the betterment of the squad.

Vidal would be an ideal signing at the moment for Arsenal as they try to do better than last season and with Jack Wilshere coming back into the team, fit and raring to go, Vidal’s positioning is even more vital for Arsenal.

Wilshere has been playing in a deeper role for the England setup and him partnered with Vidal would be a combination made in Gunner heaven. The attacking intent and movement of Wilshere with the cool and calculated tackling of Vidal is something that Gunners fans would be going gaga over, the only stumbling block for all this would be the price point.

Juventus would be looking to make the most out of this situation, they do not need to sell the player but will always command a premium for one of their star players, plus Vidal has been doing alright for Chile in the Copa America and the further Chile go into the Copa America, the higher Vidal’s price will rise. If any club does want to sign him, they better seal the deal, fast.
