Outstanding Harry Winks – The Best And The Worst Rated Tottenham Players From 3-0 Win vs APOEL Nicosia

Full Time: Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 APOEL Nicosia

Tottenham Hotspur managed to notch up a brilliant 3-0 victory against APOEL Nicosia in the Champions League last night. The likes of Fernando Llorente, Son Heung-min and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou scored goals, which ensured Spurs picked up 3 points in a fairly easy manner.

With this victory, Spurs finished at the very top of Group H with 16 points and it will be interesting to see how they fare in the elite European championship from here on. Let’s take a look at how Tottenham players fared last night.

Tottenham Hotspur Player Ratings

Michael Vorm – 6/10

The player was quite solid even though he did not have much to do besides catching a stray ball here and there.

Serge Aurier – 7/10

He picked up a yellow card but that did nothing to tarnish his otherwise solid performance. Aurier was involved in Llorente’s opening goal as well.

Davinson Sanchez – 8.5/10

Sanchez established utter domination at the back. Even when he gave the ball away, he made some necessary tackles to win it back.

Juan Foyth – 7/10

Foyth displayed splendid signs of composure and was quite solid. But there’s still plenty of room for improvement.

Danny Rose – 6.5/10

Rose made some good blocks but his decision-making was rather shoddy. He picked up a yellow card but that could have led to a harsher outcome since he did push a player. That said, he was quite average otherwise.

Harry Winks – 9/10

Winks simply dominated the midfield last night. The pace of the game was dictated by him and he did not allow the opposition to capitalise even once.

Moussa Sissoko – 7/10

Sissoko was responsible for disrupting some threats from Apoel. The player also provided support whenever Spurs had to surge ahead.

Dele Alli – 7/10

Alli assumed a responsible role as he made things happen for his teammates. It would have been a perfect display from him had he managed to influence the game up front like he usually does.

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou – 7.5/10

Nkoudou soldiered through and fought hard until he scored a goal. From then on, the player knew his work was done.

Heung-Min Son – 9.5/10

Son created numerous problems for the opposition defence. He scored an important goal and worked beautifully with Llorente.

Fernando Llorente – 8.5/10

He scored a goal and put in an electrifying display for Spurs. Llorente narrowly missed out on setting up a goal for Sissoko after the latter played it right into the hands of the keeper. However, he went on to set up Son’s goal.

Subs:

Mousa Dembele – 4/10

Dembele gave the ball away too many times and did not do much for the team.

Kyle Walker-Peters – 5/10

The youngster was decent enough and played as a wing-back in place of Rose.

Kazaiah Sterling – N/A

The teenager came on too late to make an impact.
