Pep Guardiola Waiting For Manchester United Job

Pep Guardiola was linked to the hot seat at Chelsea all over the Spanish media before Roman Abramovich finally appointing Rafa Benitez as an interim manager. Chelsea fans were not particularly happy about the sacking of Di Matteo neither his replacement. For the Blues who are waiting to see Pep Guardiola at Stamford Bridge comes another shocking news – Guardiola wants United job and is ready snub Chelsea.

Guardiola wants United hot seat

hot seatGuardiola, who is on a year’s sabbatical in New York, fancies moving in at Old Trafford when Alex Ferguson retires. That could be at the end of this season.

If not, Guardiola would be prepared to wait for another year to get his desired job. Reports say that Ferguson and Guardiola know each other and also have met privately in New York.

A source close to Guardiola said: “The whole history of Manchester United, his relationship with Sir Alex and the way the club is run appeals to Pep.

“Right now I’d be astonished if he went to Chelsea. He really wants to wait for the United job even if it means extending his time out of the game.”

Guardiola wants to be able to concentrate on all aspects of the football club without interference from above.

For a Chelsea job, which is considered as the most riskiest job in the footballing world, Guardiola would happily wait till Fergie calls it a day and replace him at a club where they follow some of his policies.

Guardiola is certainly the man at the moment. Brazil legend Ronaldo wants him to take over Brazil national team after their sacking of Mano Menezes as their coach. Talkong on this, Ronaldo said:

“We have great coaches in Brazil, and we need someone who shows calmness towards the team,” said Ronaldo.

“Guardiola is the best coach in the world right now. He did a very good job at Barcelona and would be a great choice for Brazil. We would have to see whether the fans would like him or not.”

It is all up-to Guardiola to decide, but it is the right time for him to prove his worth outside Spain.
