The early kick-off at Old Trafford ended in a 1-1 draw between Manchester United and Arsenal on Saturday. The outspoken Arsenal fan Piers Morgan though has explained why he would prefer the current Manchester United manager over Arsene Wenger as the manager at the Emirates.

The Gunners missed out on an opportunity to move top of the league ahead of the remaining Saturday fixtures and are still placed fourth ahead of Tottenham.

Piers Morgan took to twitter to explain as to why he would like to have Jose Mourinho ahead of Wenger. Mourinho has won three Premier Leagues since his two terms as coach at Chelsea since Arsenal last won a league title in 2004 with the ‘Invincibles’.

He also mentioned that Saturday’s game favored Manchester United and the Red Devil’s would comfortably have won the game if not for Giroud’s last minute equalizer opposing Wenger’s opinion which stated his side were in control.

The hosts took the lead as Ander Herrera and Juan Mata linked up to make the break-through in the 69th minute of the game. The Spaniard finished off well from Herrera’s cross and beat former Chelsea team-mate goalkeeper Petr Cech in the Arsenal goal.

Wenger’s Arsenal side responded by bringing on Giroud in the 73rd minute and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the 83rd minute and the duo linked up to score a dramatic equalizer in the 89th minute of the game. The French striker powered home a header past David De Gea with less than 90 seconds of normal time to play from Chamberlain’s cross.

Being a shareholder of the Arsenal team and a constant criticizer of Arsene Wenger, Piers Morgan tweeted below on why he prefers the Portuguese over the French manager:
