Pochettino to make 1 big change – Predicted 4-2-3-1 Tottenham line-up to face Watford

Predicted Tottenham Line-up To Face Watford In The Premier League

Tottenham will look to put their FA Cup elimination behind as they host Watford on Monday in the Premier League.

Spurs were dumped out of FA Cup when Manchester United beat them 2-1 in the semi-finals last weekend. The FA Cup was the only hope of silverware this season and with that now gone, Mauricio Pochettino will focus on getting a top-four finish in the league.

A defeat against Manchester City and a draw at Brighton, coupled with back-to-back wins for Chelsea have put little pressure on Spurs. However, the North Londoners will look to get back on track with a win over Watford on Monday.

Probable Tottenham XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Hugo Lloris (GK)

Lloris will return back to the starting XI after being named on the bench for the FA Cup semi-final last weekend.

Kieran Trippier (RB)

Tripper played last weekend against Manchester United and is likely to keep his place in the team for Monday’s game.

Kieran Trippier

Davinson Sanchez (CB)

Sanchez has been an excellent partner for Vertonghen at the heart of the defence and he is expected to retain his spot.

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

A true leader at the back, Vertonghen has been a permanent fixture for Spurs this season and will look to continue his good form. He is one of the most important players for Pochettino.

Ben Davies (LB)

Davies has been defensively solid this season and will be handed another start against Watford.

Eric Dier (CM)

Dier has been a consistent performer for Spurs this campaign. He shields the back-four, breaks up the play and also pops up with an odd goal. The Englishman can also play as a centre-back but the defensive midfield role is perfect for him.

Mousa Dembele (CM)

Dembele had an erratic game against United in the FA Cup semi-finals. However, the Belgian has truly been fantastic for Tottenham in the last couple of months or so and will be itching to make a mark against Watford.

Son Heung-min (LW)

Son has been a stellar performer for the club this campaign and has excelled in a variety of attacking roles. The South Korean’s work-ethic and direct running should be one of the keys to pierce Watford’s defence on Monday.

Dele Alli (CAM)

The talented attacking midfielder will look to stretch Watford’s defence from the blow of the whistle. Alli has impacted games for the Lilywhites in the second half of the season and that should see him retain his spot.

Dele Alli

Christian Eriksen (RW)

The Dane has been in sublime form throughout the season, regularly coming up with assists and goals. Eriksen’s vision and guile will be of utmost importance as Spurs look to secure three points.

Harry Kane (ST)

Kane was very poor last weekend as he failed to score against United. However, that won’t damage his credentials, as the England international will be buoyant and hungry to get on the scoresheet against Watford on Monday.
