Possible Chelsea Lineup To Play Against PSG – Willian And Oscar To Start, Cuadrado On The Bench

Jose Mourinho under pressure at Madrid

Chelsea have been in outrageous form since the start of the season and they will continue to play top notch football till the end of the season. Chelsea’s next fixture will be against PSG in the Champions League round of 16. Last time when these two giants played each other Chelsea came out on top after making a brilliant comeback at Stamford Bridge. Same level of competition can be expected this time as well. With both teams in great form and with the likes of some of the best players in the world, the game will keep us on the edge of our seats. Let us now predict Chelsea’s line-up against PSG.

Formation – 4-2-3-1

Goalkeeper – Petr Cech

Cech was excellent versus Everton and he has always performed when given the chance. Cech has not yet conceded a goal in the Premier League and has been impressive in the Champions League as well. The chances of him starting over Courtois are quiet high.

Defense – Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill & Azpilicueta

This is the best possible Chelsea back four. Ivanovic will be very useful in physically outclassing PSG’s wingers and fullbacks and will also be helpful in attack while Azpilicueta will cease attacks from the left side and will give freedom to Hazard. The duo of Cahill and Terry is a proven and experienced will definitely start.

Midfield & Flanks – Matic, Fabregas, Oscar, Willian & Hazard

Oscar Chelsea

A player like Matic has to start against PSG as he has all the qualities to keep Verrati and Matuidi in his pockets. Fabregas will be back in the starting lineup after 2 weeks of injury while Oscar’s industrious nature will be a plus point for the blues and he is also aware about the weaknesses of Silva and Luiz. The flanks as always are going to be occupied by Willian and Hazard. Willian’s performance against Everton was extraordinary and this is the reason why he will start over Cuadrado, while Hazard is Chelsea’s focal point and will definitely start the game.

Forward – Diego Costa

Costa will be back in Chelsea’s firing line after sitting out for three games. Costa is Chelsea’s best striker and also one of the best strikers in the world. It will be very exciting for us to see the battle between Costa and Thiago Silva and it will be difficult for Costa to score goals at Parc de Princes.
