Predicted 4-4-2 Real Madrid lineup for Alaves game: Ronaldo returns among 3 changes from Zidane

Predicted Real Madrid Lineup To Face Alaves In La Liga

Real Madrid will look to extend their winning run to five games in all competitions when they face off against Alaves in the La Liga, at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.

The Galacticos seem to have found their groove back in recent weeks and have notched up four victories on the trot in all competitions, three of which have come in the La Liga. They defeated Leganes 3-1 in their previous encounter, to move past Valencia into 3rd place in the league table. Manager Zinedine Zidane will be hoping that his side carries the momentum into Saturday’s encounter.

Team News

The midfield duo of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos is set to miss out once again with hamstring and knee problems respectively. Defender Jesus Vallejo is also an absentee for Los Blancos and Zidane will also have to make do without the influence of Brazilian full-back Marcelo for the tie. Captain Sergio Ramos is suspended for the tie after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.

Probable Real Madrid XI

Manager: Zinedine Zidane

Formation: 4-4-2

Keylor Navas (GK)

The Costa Rican international is very much guaranteed to continue between the sticks for the home team against Alaves this weekend.

Dani Carvajal (RB)

Starting at right-back should be Dani Carvajal. His forward forays will be an important attacking outlet for Madrid.

Raphael Varane (CB)

The Frenchman came in for Nacho in the previous game and is expected to hold on to his position for the upcoming fixture.

Sergio Ramos

Nacho (CB)

With the club captain Sergio Ramos out due to suspension, utility man Nacho is expected to partner up Varane in the heart of the defence.

Theo Hernandez (LB)

With Marcelo sidelined for the next week or so, summer signing Theo Hernandez should once again start on the left-hand side of the back four for Real.

Lucas Vazquez (RW)

The Spanish international scored in the midweek win over Leganes and should once again be handed a chance to impress on Saturday.

Casemiro (CM)

The Brazilian powerhouse is a permanent fixture in the line-up for Zidane’s side. Having scored against Leganes last time out, he will be high on confidence.

Mateo Kovacic (CM)

Injuries to both Kroos and Modric has meant an extended run in the starting XI for Croatian Mateo Kovacic and he will be looking to make the most of these opportunities.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Marco Asensio (LW)

The Spaniard has been in fine form in recent weeks and deserves to retain his place in the starting XI for Saturday’s encounter.

Cristiano Ronaldo (ST)

The Portuguese maverick was given a day off for the trip to Leganes but he will be reinstated to the starting XI against Alaves.

Gareth Bale (ST)

Ronaldo’s attack partner Gareth Bale too did not start during the midweek but is expected to feature from the kick off at home this weekend.
