Predicted Liverpool Line Up To Face Sevilla – Firmino, Coutinho And Sturridge Starts

After a very disappointing campaign in their respective leagues, Liverpool and Seville will be looking to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season. Liverpool finished their campaign at 8th spot, while Seville finished on 7th and the only possible door to enter the Champions League next season is to win the UEFA Europa League for both the clubs.

19 May 2016 is the date when both the sides will be battling to compete for the honour. The defending Champions Seville will be hoping to win their 3rd consecutive Europa League Title, while Liverpool will be getting down to end their 9 year European drought.

Liverpool, recently defeated the Spanish side Villarreal in the semifinal of the Europa league while Seville eliminated Shakhtar Donetsk. Liverpool have a strong record in this season’s Europa League and they have lost only once, 1-0 at Villarreal in the first leg of the semi-finals. The overall record this season reads 6 wins, 7 draws and 1 loss from 14 matches.

So, here is the strongest Liverpool Lineup that could face Seville in the Europa League Final-

Goalkeeper: Simon Mignolet-

The Belgian shot stopper is the number one choice for the German Manager. He was rested against West Brom and the 28-year-old Adam Bodgan was given the chance. Even though Mignolet has cost Liverpool some cheap points this season, he is the only strongest contender Klopp has got.

Defence: Clyne; Toure; Lovren; Moreno-

All of the mentioned defenders were rested in the game against West Bromwich and all are likely to get a start in the final. Clyne had an average start to the campaign, but the arrival of Jurgen Klopp made him one of the best performers in the side. His defensive techniques have been improved a lot lately, plus his contribution in the attacks are worth watching.

With Sakho out due to suspension, Toure is likely to get his start as Skrtel was featured alongside Lucas in the team’s last game. Toure lacks the pace, but alongside Lovren the 35-year-old has done a decent job to impress the manager. Lovren is one those many players who improved greatly under Klopp and the Croatian will surely be getting his start and will have to give his best in the game. Moreno has been criticized a lot due his lack of defensive contribution, but with Joe Gomez out injured, he will be featuring in the left back role.

Midfielders: Lallana; Can; Milner; Firmino; Coutinho-

Liverpool had a positive news recently regarding the injury as their skipper Jordan Henderson and striker Danny Ings were declared fit, but both of them stand a very less chance to feature against Sevilla. Milner has been the real workforce for the side, and the tam can blindly depend on him in the games like these. Can’s surprising recovery did shock the world and the German will surely be featuring in the game as he is one of the main men in the squad.

Lallana still hasn’t showed his best in the Liverpool jersey, but the Englishman has the firepower to show and Klopp might trust him on the right flank. Firmino and Coutinho has been the bright spot for the club. Coutinho is best player Liverpool have in their team, and with Firmino playing alongside him, the team becomes even more threatening in their attacks.

Attack: Daniel Sturridge-

With Divock Origi out injured and Benteke not living up to his expectations, Klopp will surely use Sturridge ahead of his fellow countryman Danny Ings. Danny Ings just came back from his injury and hence, he cannot be trusted in the game like this. Sturridge didn’t have a great season to show, but the 26-year-old has still got the factor that can easily change the course of the game.
