Predicted Reading Line-Up For The Game At Nottingham Forest

Reading FC

Predicted Reading Lineup To Play Nottingham Forest

Having been thrashed 7-1 at Norwich two weeks ago, Reading have got themselves straight back on track with wins against Aston Villa and Rotherham.

Their attacking style means heavy defeats are inevitable at some stage, but big wins are a possibility too. This has kept the Madejski faithful very satisfied this season. There should not be many changes coming in Jaap Stam’s team and so Reading can go to war at the City Ground with the following line-up.

Possible Reading Playing XI:

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Jaap Stam

GK – Ali Al-Habsi

Ever-present in the Reading side, the former Bolton and Wigan favourite will keep goal again. 14 shutouts this season is a fine record for a keeper in such an attack-minded side.

RB – Chris Gunter

The popular former Tottenham right-back will line-up against one of his old clubs here. 78 international caps for Wales show his longevity, and his ability not in question either.

CB – Liam Moore

The centre-back has lined up over 40 times already for Reading since signing from Premier League champions Leicester City. Solid and reliable, he’ll need to be at his best here to deny a home side who are determined to prove themselves.

CB – Tyler Blackett

Like his manager, the young man knows what it’s like to represent Manchester United and would love the chance to get back into the Premier League. He is left footed and hence gives good balance to the backline.

LB – Jordan Obita

With Blackett occupying the centre-back spot, Obita can play on the left again. The boy from Oxford has provided a goal and 3 assists in the league this season so far.

CM – John Swift

Having represented England at every level from under-16 to under-21, there is no doubts about Swift’s ability. Swift has provided a goal or an assist every 156 minutes across all competitions this season from a deep midfield position.  Impressive.

CM – Daniel Williams

The American international adds vital experience to the central midfield area. He should start this game.

RW – Liam Kelly

Replaced Yakou Meite from the bench last time and may get the nod from the beginning this time around.

CAM – Roy Beerens

The former Hertha Berlin star has a good record in front of goal and should start again. 7 goals and 2 assists are not a bad return at all.

LW – Garath McCleary

Another player playing against his former club, the Jamaican winger has banged in 9 goals this term and will start the game for sure.

ST – Yann Kermorgant

No doubting who will start up top, the Frenchman has netted 14 times this season and has been a great all-round target man.
