Premier League Form XI
The Premier League is one of the toughest in the world and there is a need to be on form for as long as possible to take your team to a higher position. While everyone speaks about overall stats, there is nothing better than a player in form and that can make an Aston Villa defeat a Leicester.
Well, we are just trying to showcase how important form is, Villa can’t save their skin this season but some of the players have been on fire this season and we provide a Premier League XI that has been more on form in the past few weeks.
Hugo Lloris
The Tottenham goalkeeper might not have played some of the cup games but he certainly is the goalkeeper in form. David de Gea comes a close second but Lloris is one reason why Spurs are up so high in the table.
Nathaniel Clyne
The English right-back has been in great form in the past couple of weeks and deserves to be in the team for his excellent performances which included a goal against Villa.
Toby Alderweireld
The Belgian defender has picked it up after Vertonghen got injured and is probably the best central defender in the league at the moment.
Virgil van Dijk
The Southampton defender is one reason for the Saints mini-revival and hopefully, he will continue this form till the end of the season.
Kyle Walker
This might be a bit of cheating but Walker is a right-back but slots in the left-back role since he has been so good for Spurs recently.
Riyad Mahrez
The Algerian has been the shining light for Leicester and even when Vardy isn’t scoring, the 24-year-old is setting up his teammates.
Dele Alli
Can we have any team without the Tottenham ace? Spurs have been brilliant this season and Alli has been the one on fire so far this season for the team from London.
Mousa Dembele
The injury to Dembele could come to cost Tottenham a lot at the end of the season. The Belgian has been brilliant in recent weeks and easily makes it into the form XI in the Premier League.
Roberto Firmino
The Liverpool midfielder has slowly shown what he is capable off and seems to be involved in goals every time he plays for the Reds. Klopp must be happy with his form at the moment.
Jermaine Defoe
Sunderland need a saviour and Defoe could be the man, he has been incredible in the past few weeks and could well be the reason why the Black Cats avoid the drop.
Diego Costa
The Spaniard looks like a different man under Guus Hiddink and has hit double figures this season. Costa has been incredible for Chelsea and is the man in form at least in attack.
