Tottenham’s dream to achieve the Premier League title might have faded away as the side played a very frustrating 1-1 draw against West Brom at White Hart Lane last time out.
Tottenham will visit Stamford Bridge to take on the struggling Chelsea side. The last time these two sides met, both gave a tough fight and the game ended as a goal less draw.
Pochettino’s men know the importance of the game and have to perform accordingly. Furthermore, Chelsea have a huge boost in their pocket as they had a great game against Bournemouth last time out and their star man Eden Hazard made a tremendous comeback.
Tottenham will be without some star men as the club is not sure about Eric Dier and Dele Alli will surely be missing following his 3 match ban.
Here is the predicted line-up for Tottenham to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge-
Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris-
The undroppable man for Spurs this season. Could have done well to deny Dawson’s header in the last game though. He will be having a tough game as Chelsea’s midfield is looking all set to take on the Whites.
Defence: Walker; Alderweireld; Vertonghen; Rose-
Walker has been brilliant this season, but he will be having a tough game as he will be facing one of the trickiest players in Europe, Eden Hazard. The pair of Alderweireld and Vertonghen has been a solid wall for the Lillywhites this season and will be hoping to continue their run. Danny Rose, on the other hand, will also be having a tough night as he will be against Willian or Pedro who loves to cut inside the box from the wings and Rose needs to deny them if they want to stop Chelsea’s attacks.
Midfielders: Lamela; Mason; Dembele; Son; Eriksen-
The Argentine manager will have to do a lot of changes to the midfield due the absence of Dier nad Alli. Lamela is in good form and loves to take the shots from distance and that could be the key for the side. Mason could make an entrance in place of Dier and might be playing alongside the strong Belgian Dembele. As Alli will be missing the remaining games for the side, Son might get his start and might play as a false number 9. Eriksen is working tirelessly this season and has been an unsung hero for the side and he cannot be dropped as his presence brings out the confidence in the Spurs’ team.
Striker: Harry Kane-
The top scorer in Barclays Premier League this season. He is a complete striker for the team and will be looking forward to damage the Chelsea’s soft defence.
