Puel To Make 2 Important Changes – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Leicester Line-up To Face Watford

Predicted Leicester City Line-up To Face Watford In The Premier League

Leicester City will look to get back to winning ways after a heroic draw against Manchester United and a thrashing by Everton in their previous two matches. After a four-match winning run, they climbed up to 8th place and will hope to finish in Europa League qualification spot. They take on Watford tomorrow and many would consider it as the right time to play them, as the Hornets, after having a dream start to their campaign, have been given a reality check.

Marco Silva’s men haven’t won a game for over a month now. The Foxes’ away record has already surpassed their last season’s one and they are unbeaten in the last 7 games on their travels. It will be a clash of two teams heading in different directions but trying to stop each other.

Team News

Daniel Amartey is banned after being sent off against the Red Devils last time out. He collected two yellow cards in the space of just 16 minutes. Danny Simpson will be missed by Claude Puel due to a hamstring strain while Matty James is injured too. Robert Huth remains a long-term absentee.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Defence

Kasper Schmeichel should start in goal. He has come up with some incredible reaction saves over the past month or so. The 31-year-old has played a vital role in their recent success.

Wes Morgan will lead the side from the back. He has been in good form of late and has been very important while defending in the box, especially in getting crucial blocks in or making clearances.

The hero of the previous game, Harry Maguire should play alongside him. The ex-Hull City star has been one of the best signings for Leicester City this season and has come up with the goods.

Harry Maguire

Christian Fuchs should play at left back. His passing has been a touch slow but if he can get his delivery right, it could be goodbye for a Watford defence that has been all over the place in recent weeks.

With Puel having a lot of problems while choosing his right-back, the exciting Austrian in Aleksander Dragovic could get a starting place in the lineup.

Midfield

Leicester City have some able defensive midfielders as back up in their ranks, a fine bunch. For the game against Hornets, Vicente Iborra and Ndidi could start in the middle. While one is a sharp tackler and strong, the former is more of a box to box midfielder who can manoeuvre the ball forward.

Demarai Gray should start on the left wing. He loves to cut inside, showcase his skills and is more than capable of the spectacular.

Shinji Okazaki deserves a starting place in this team. He adds a lot of work rate, energy and box presence up front.

Riyad Mahrez has scored in all his PL appearances at Vicarage Road and will aim to continue that stat.

Attack

Leicester City’s top scorer in the Premier League, Jamie Vardy will complete the attacking line-up. He takes on the defenders who play high up the pitch, turns well, and is full of pace.
