Manchester United visit Loftus Road Stadium to take on Queens Park Ranger for a crucial Premier League tie. Louis van Gaal’s men are understandably under pressure to secure three points from this tie as they lost their previous encounter against Southampton and declined to the fourth position in the league table. Any point loss can be dangerous for the 20-time champions as their title hopes will shatter. Also, they will come under pressure of declining further and go out of the top four in the Premier League.
Here are three things which Manchester United should do register a win against minnows, Queens Park Rangers.
1. Back four in place of back three
Louis van Gaal has been extremely stubborn over his decision to field three defenders even after failing with it in many occassion. While he has been partially successful with his newly implemented tactics, he must keep in mind that Manchester United does not possess high-quality center backs that can actually hold the defense firmly. Against quality oppositions, the defense has failed to perform. In the last game against Southampton, the team lost a goal to nil. Queens Parks Rangers’ striker, Charlie Austin is in sublime form. The English forward had bagged the player of the month award in December and scored 5 goals for his club during the same month. It will be a wise decision to field 4 defenders in place of 3 if United wants to win this encounter.
