Rangers News: Alfredo Morelos wins Player Of The Year award

Rangers News: Gers striker, Alfredo Morelos, has won the Rangers Player of the Year award.

The Colombian striker has been phenomenal for the Gers this season, scoring 29 goals across all competitions, the highest tally for a player in Scottish league.

Furthermore, his run-of-form has helped him get an international call-up from Carlos Queiroz.

The 22-year-old got playing time in both the friendlies against South Korea and Japan and received plaudits from his team-mates and fans.

In fact, Morelos received the award from the Gers manager Steven Gerrard.

Besides this, Ryan Jack won the goal of the season award, while winger Ryan Kent won the young player of the season.

Goalkeeper Allan McGregor also won the prestigious John Greig achievement award.

Post the ceremony, Morelos thanked his team-mates and fans for helping him with this achievement.

The former HJK split player’s on-field antics sparked a lot of controversies, as he has been shown plenty of red cards for his misconduct this season.

In last week’s Old Firm derby, Morelos received his fifth red of the season and was handed a four-match ban by SPFL.
