Rangers News: Wes Foderingham speaks on his Rangers future

Rangers News: Wes Foderingham has spoken about his future at Rangers while speaking to the Daily Record

Allan McGregor has been banned for three matches following his violent conduct

The shot-stopper was featured in Steven Gerrard’s starting eleven in place of the suspended Allan McGregor against St. Johnstone, and the game ended in a goalless draw.

Foderingham became second fiddle to McGregor under the managerial reign of the ex- Liverpool star and he has made only two appearances this season.

Following the draw against St. Johnstone, the English goalkeeper has opened about his Rangers future (h/t The Daily Record):

“I’ll look at all the options that are available to me. We’ll see where we’re at the end of the season.

“We’ve had discussions and he (Steven Gerrard) knows I want to play. But I also know Allan’s playing well, so it’s difficult”, he added.

Foderingham added he is aware of the prospect once Allan finds his groove again.

Foderingham has time to impress

The 37-year-old has become the staple for the Gers after a string of wonderful displays and benching of the English keeper became inevitable.

With two matches left for Allan’s return after the ban, Wes still has time to impress Gerrard.

The result against St. Johnstone clearly showed how the absence of Alfredo Morelos affected the game. The Colombian striker is two matches away from his return after being handed a three-match ban following a cynical foul he made against Aberdeen.

The draw hasn’t helped Gerrard’s Rangers and they now trail Celtic by eight points in the Scottish Premiership.
