Rangers signing this Bosnian midfield talent would help break their long-running trophy drought – Agreed?

Rangers Opinion: Should the Light Blues sign Amer Gojak?

According to Rangers News , (h/t The Daily Record), Rangers scouted Dinamo Zagreb attacker Amer Gojak during Sunday’s Croatian Super Cup final against Rijeka.

The 22-year-old didn’t fail to impress the Gers scouts, as he scored the only goal of the game to seal the trophy.

Gojak has been an integral part of the Croatian outfit for the past three seasons, since his move for Olimpic in 2015.

The Bosnian youngster has played more than 100 games over the course, racking up a total of 10 goals and 14 assists.

He has also represented Bosnia and Herzegovina’s national team at various age levels while bagging 5 caps for the senior team, debuting last year.

Gojak is primarily a central midfielder but can play both offensive roles and the defensive roles, which indicates his versatility.

Three seasons and counting, the Bosnian hasn’t still become a starter, meaning he still hasn’t won enough credibility.

Despite being part of a side that is topping the table for subsequent seasons, Gojak is still a played-down figure.

Why should Rangers make a move for Gajok?

The Light Blues’ current midfield line-up consists of the likes of Scott Arfield and Steven Davis, both of whom are in their 30s.

Though there is the presence of talented youngsters like Glen Kamara, Gojak looks like an optimistic option, given his experience at this tender age.

Steven Gerrard

Moreover, his versatility coupled with the experience he has garnered at a top club like Zagreb would make him a perfect fit for Steven Gerrard.

On the other hand, Gojak would be taking a big stride in his career should he opt to move to Ibrox. Under the guidance of the former Liverpool man, he can progress by leaps and bounds.

Final Verdict

The Gers are one of the clubs who are quite hyperactive in the current transfer window, as they have added a lot of young talents to the side. With their trophy-winning intentions looking clear, Gerrard should consider signing Gojak.
