MAN UNITED & LIVERPOOL fixtures always lies in deep tradition , Football players turn in to warriors and any battler who lifts the sword of victory is termed the “knight” , Robin Van Persie was the Knight @ Old Trafford yesterday winning the battle of “best striker contest ” against Suarez & the War against KOP .

First Half was pure Magic from MAN UNITED

A spirited performance from the duo Welbeck and Carrick

A spirited performance from the duo Welbeck and Carrick

The RVP strike was a result of 14 pass move that had some beautiful exchange between Carrick , Kagawa and Welbeck

Some delicious balls were fed by Carrick to Strike force on consistent basis , Cleverley and Shinji Kagawa were linking nicely and Joe Allen was chasing shadows.

Joe Allen once again was not justified for 15 Million , Passes that were aimless and some time dangerous . Welbeck almost punished Allen who threw stray pass and if not for Agger the young English forward might have made it 2 nil .

Welbeck was all over the Liverpool defense , Making life miserable at his every touch if only he had his shooting boots on things might have been different.

Second Half Sturridge Awakening ….Bit Too Late

United’s second goal came from another foul on Welbeck , RVP whipped in magical free kick and Evra seemed to have his 5th goal of the campaign but big Serb Vidic had the final touch . Notable fact Vidic is MAN UNITED 16th different scorer for season.

While basking in their second goal , United slipped up in Concentration & within 3 minutes Liverpool pulled one goal back and stayed in the hunt . Skipper Steven Gerrad pounced on wayward ball from Cleverly , quickly exchanged passes with Raheem Sterling and hit a blissful shot towards De Gea who parried it helplessly to on coming Sturridge .

From that moment Liverpool game back in the game , their was new vigour thanks to Sturrige & Borini some wise substitutions .

Last clear cut chance fell to Sturridge on the 85th minute ,Suarez bustled his way into the penalty area with the ball stuck to his toe

As United tried to clear, it bounced off Stewart Downing and Sturridge was presented with the opening for the equaliser.
But he got a bit over-excited and his shot was well over the bar.

Sir Alex for once wished the whistle blew once the clock dial  struck 90. Overall as the Scottish legend shouted out to creaking defense Rogers hopelessly watched his toothless attack petrify to defeat at the Theatre of Dreams.

Jose Mourinho who was silent spectator was having virtual feel of what lies ahead for Real Madrid

Manager’s View :

Brendan felt they deserved a point but every neutral observer 24 point gap between the rivals reflected on the football pitch .

Robin Van Persie 21 st Strike was hailed by Sir Alex as another great finish that was symbolized the build play.

Where Teams go from here :

RED DEVILS still sit pretty up top by 7 point margin ahead of their mouth watering clash with AVB’s spurs . Sir Alex will want to avenge 3 -1 home defeat .

Bredan’s army have a somewhat easy fixture against Canaries at Anfield and will want his men to bounce back from Old Trafford Defeat
