According to the latest reports, Arsenal are very much interested in signing Real Madrid star Sami Khedira. The North London side have launched a £24million in an attempt to sign the German midfielder.
Even though the Madrid club are ready to sell for that price, any possible move may get road-blocked by the player’s huge salary demand. Reportedly, Khedira wants a salary of £153,000-a-week to agree terms with Arsenal.
Arsenal are looking for a permanent replacement for ageing Arteta who was criticized by fans for failing in big games. Top players like Lars Bender and Sami Khedira are current linked with a move to Emirates.
Khedira missed most of the last season due to injury but he came back well during the end of the campaign, played a part in the Champions league final too. The German box-to-box player is having a impressive World Cup too. He will perfectly fit in to Arsenal’s midfield, but the question is, will Arsenal meet his £8m per year salary demands? We have to wait and find out how this saga pans out in coming weeks.
