Report: Celtic and Watford in transfer battle for Hearts goalkeeper Harry Stone

Celtic FC News: Watford are interested in CHearts goalkeeper Harry Stone claims The Daily Record UK.

The report adds that the Bhoys will face competition from the Premier League club.

Who is Harry Stone?

Stone is considered to be one of the top goalkeeping prospects in Scotland.

The teenager joined the Jambos from Spartan FC last year.

He has been a regular for the club’s U-18 side.

He will be turning 17 later this month and will attain the right to sign his first professional contract.

Watford are keen on the Scottish Prospect

It is understood that the Hornets are steadfast in bringing Stone to the Premier League and offering him a place in the reserves squad or the U-18 squad.

The Yellow army are also expected to bring back Daniel Bachmann from his loan spell at Kilmarnock next season.

The Austrian goalkeeper who was recently linked with Rangers would probably play deputy to first-choice goalkeeper Ben Foster.

Celtic want to add Stone to their list of shot-stoppers

The Hoops have a bunch of goalkeeping options like Scott Bain(first choice) Craig Gordon and De Vries, with the latter expected to move away from Park Head next season.

The reserves squad also holds some exciting talents, namely Ryan Mullen and  Reece Willison.

Neil Lennon, the interim manager, is having a wonderful time at Park Head since Brendan Rodgers’ departure.

And Last Sunday’s Old Firm derby win was Lennon’s fifth in the last six games without defeat.
