Thibaut Courtois is ready to leave the Stamford Bridge for Real Madrid and is eager to make the move as soon as possible, according to reports from the Spanish media outfit, OK Diario.
The Bues No.1 stopper has missed much of this season through injury, but even his re-introduction into Chelsea’s starting XI has done little to ease poor results at Stamford Bridge.
The Premier League defending champions are currently 14th on the league log-just three points above the relegation zone – after 19 games and have parted ways with Jose Mourinho who won them the title last season.
Reports in the media claim that things could get worse, with Courtois now looking to move on.
He has kept the post 10 time for the Blues in all competitions conceding 14 goals and keeping only 2 clean sheets. In addition, He also has an Average Goal conceded of 1.38, 2.50 average save per game, 1.82 average save per goal, 100% average claim success and an average punches of 63% with one red card in the EPL.
Courtois is believed to want the transfer to happen as soon as possible, although a January agreement appears to be unlikely. The validity of these claims are questionable given that reports have recently aligned Real with a fresh move for Manchester United goalie David de Gea, who almost joined Los Blancos over the summer.
The likes of Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas, among others, have been linked with moves over the course of the past few weeks.
