During last week’s clash against Aston Villa, the Whites spurred controversy with Mateusz Klich’s goal, which was scored when Jonathan Kodjia was down on the ground.

And tension prevailed for a while before Marcelo Bielsa ordered his players to let the Lions equalize.

In the process, Anwar El Ghazi was sent off after an alleged tackle on Bamford.

Now, the English striker has been found guilty for deceiving the referee by the FA Panel and has been handed with a two-match suspension. (h/t BBC Football)

As a result, the 25-year-old will be unavailable for Sunday’s clash against
Ipswich and the first leg of Championship play-off –tie.

Bamford has fared decently for the Whites this campaign but has drawn criticism for his lapses in the crucial stages of the Championship.

He has played 24 games this season, scoring 10 goal and 2 assists across all competitions.

However, constant injury issues made this season an unsteady one for Bamford.
