According to the latest reports, Arsenal are in back in the race to sign Lars Bender as a move for Sami Khedira gets stalled.
Surprisingly, Arsenal are very busy in the transfer market. Barcelona winger Sanchez has joined them already. Newcastle United right back Debuchy is next in the line to join the FA cup winners.
The North Londoners are also keen to add a defensive midfielder to their ranks. Last week, it was reported that Arsenal are favorites to sign Real Madrid star Sami Khedira. But high transfer fee and salary demands by the player are currently roadblocking the negotiations from moving forward. Chelsea are also showing great interest in signing the Box-to-Box star, making things even more complicated.
So, Arsenal are readying their Plan B as they plot a move to bring the German star Lars Bender to Emirates. But again, Bender will not be cheap either. £19m bid was rejected last summer by Leverkusen. If Arsenal can improvise on their previous offer, then they have a good chance to sign their long-term target from Bundesliga.
