Arsenal are looking to sign Bayern Munich player Mehdi Benatia in the summer. The Gunners are reportedly keen on signing the player as Wenger is looking for a top class player who could partner Laurent Koscielny, while Gabriel and Per Mertesacker both are enduring disappointed season so far.
Benatia has struggled with his injuries this season and only started this season last week in bench during the match against Atletico Madrid.
While Bayern Munich have been looking to sign Mats Hummels, the player has been open about his criticism of the same as Hummels entry into Bayern is obvious to put Benatia lower in the pecking order.
“I have no problem, if I have to leave Bayern Munich, then I’ll leave, but first I want to end this season well,” -Benatia
Although Benatia did state that he did not have any issue with leaving the Allianz Arena, he also added that as of now he wants to concentrate on his game and have a good end to the season.
