25-year old Luis Muriel of Sampdoria is linked with a potential move to London in the transfer market and the possibility of a transfer is more likely with each passing day according to reports.
Antonio Conte is a huge fan of the Colombian striker and the Italian is lining up a move for him including a few defenders. Chelsea currently are on top of the English Premier League after a stunning eight game win-streak and they are certainly title contenders.
With European football almost certain for the Blues next season, Conte is looking to add depth to his squad by the addition of Muriel, although he does have Diego Costa and Michy Batshuayi at his disposal.
The Colombian has been in prolific form scoring 8 goals in 15 appearances for the Italian outfit but Sampdoria are still languishing at 9th in the Serie A table and they are struggling for European competition next season.
Conte is said to know all about Muriel having worked in Italy until this summer when he moved to Stamford Bridge.
He has a £23million release clause and Chelsea are said to be weighing up an approach in the summer. Muriel is happy at Sampdoria for now having joined in January last season and is under contract until 2019.
