As we gear up for a new season, we also get prepared to brace ourselves with some stunning transfer action. Whereas some of the transfers are already done and dusted and just waiting for an official validation, there are some which we all expect to happen once the business gets more serious. There are still some probable transfers that can leave all of our jaws dropped. Some of the transfers that can surprise the entire football fraternity if and when they happen are listed below.
Romelu Lukaku– The 19 year old Chelsea striker was sent on a loan spell at West Brom and has since impressed everyone. It is the sheer bigoted mentality of Chelsea to prioritise the more established stars, which has seen the likes of Sturridge and Lukaku leave Stamford Bridge. While these two strikers are shining at Liverpool and West Brom respectively, Chelsea have had hard times with the lack of goals from their strike duo of Torres and Ba. The Belgian, who joined Chelsea for £17m, has scored 14 goals this season for The Baggies.
The striker himself has expressed his desire not to rejoin Chelsea and this may mean his transfer away to some other club as West Brom will not be able to provide him with the kind of platform he deserves. Amid all these, reports have emerged that Seria A champions Juventus are interested in the forward and would soon set a bid for the player, who would love to grab the opportunity with both hands.
Fernando Torres- With Falcao set to leave the club, Atletico Madrid will be looking for a replacement of the striker. A source tells us that they are monitoring the situation of Torres, who is disillusioned with life in England and would consider a move back. Although Torres will not be able to add the same power that Falcao did, yet this could be a good move for both the parties, considering that it was Atletico where Torres initially started his carrer and rose to fame.
Wayne Rooney– While the England striker has been linked to a number of clubs, a move to Arsenal, as suggested by some reports, would be the most unexpected turn of events. But if the move finally happens, the next season will boast of some epic battles between RVP and Rooney, one ex Arsenal playing for United and the other ex United playing for Arsenal.
