Sarri to make 7 changes – Predicted 4-3-3 Chelsea XI to face Mol Vidi FC in the Europa League

Predicted Chelsea line-up to face Mol Vidi FC in the Europa League

After performing so well against Liverpool, Chelsea turn their attention towards the Europa League. They welcome Hungarian club Mol Vidi FC to Stamford Bridge and would hope to continue their winning start to the European campaign.

Maurizio Sarri’s men showed great character and quality to play out a 1-1 draw against Liverpool. However, the Italian is expected to make changes to the line-up, just as he did on the opening matchday against PAOK.

Team News

Pedro, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Andreas Christensen are more or less out for the Thursday game. However, the Southampton game on Sunday might be the one in which we could see either of the three.

Probable Chelsea XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Maurizio Sarri

Kepa (GK)

Just like matchday one, the Spaniard could be given a start ahead of second-choice Willy Caballero.

Davide Zappacosta (RB)

The Italian started the game against PAOK. With Cesar Azpilicueta getting a rest, he is certain to start on Thursday.

Gary Cahill

Gary Cahill (CB)

Christensen may not be ready to take part in this game, hence, the experienced Cahill could be given a start.

Antonio Rudiger (CB)

If David Luiz is rested, the Blues have no option but to start with Rudiger, who was fantastic against Liverpool.

Emerson (LB)

The Brazilian featured in the Carabao Cup tie and was impressive. He would be an ideal deputy for Marcos Alonso.

N’Golo Kante (CDM)

This could be the game for Jorginho to get a rest. It means it’s a chance for Kante to slot back into his usual defensive midfield role.

Ross Barkley

Ross Barkley (LCM)

The Englishman started the season well but since Mateo Kovacic’s arrival, he is been overlooked. Expect the ex-Evertonian to stamp his authority in the Europa League this season.

Cesc Fabregas (RCM)

Fabregas is back and played a good game last Wednesday. We should see him play a big role on Thursday against the Hungarian opponents.

Willian (LW)

Eden Hazard is almost certain to get a rest for this game, meaning Willian could start on the left.

Alvaro Morata

Alvaro Morata (ST)

The Spaniard is down the pecking order at the moment, with Olivier Giroud being preferred. The former needs to score a goal or two to take his place back.

Victor Moses (RW)

The Nigerian should start this game knowing that Pedro won’t be playing.
