SAS Or Rooney As Captain, Avoid Chelsea Stars: FPL Gameweek 31Tips

Gameweek 31 of the Fantasy Premier League promises to be the most interesting gameweek we have had all season primarily due to the fact that ten of the twenty Premier League teams have a double gameweek where they face two opponents in the window of a single week. Plan your team correctly and stack your Fantasy Premier League team with players from these particular teams and this week may prove to be a real profitable one indeed.

However keep in mind that bringing double gameweek players just for the heck of it and taking massive points deduction on the way is not the way forward either. The right balance between the two needs to be stuck to be successful in such a crucial gameweek in the Fantasy Premier League.

Choosing the right captain from the double gameweek teams:

With so many teams having double gameweeks and with almost all Fantasy Premier League players stuffing their teams with such players it’s imperative to choose the right captain to take maximum advantage of this extended gameweek. With so many top class players getting two games it’s imperative to understand that some of these players might not get the entire 180 minutes as rotation may very well play a part in some manager’s minds.

At the moment the best option to captain is probably Daniel Sturridge or Wayne Rooney. With Liverpool having such a paper thin squad and the fact that Liverpool need to take maximum points if they are to stand a chance in this Premier League title race it is a safe bet that Sturridge will be playing both games. As for Wayne Rooney’s chance of playing the two games it is also looking pretty much guaranteed with Robin Van Persie a slight doubt for the first game of Gameweek 31 against West Ham United.

Best to avoid Chelsea this week

Chelsea is the one team every Fantasy Premier League manager should be really careful this week. Having already played a Champions league match midweek and with Ramires and Willian out suspended with a difficult match against Arsenal approaching it’s the most difficult match of the entire bunch to predict anything.

Also the fact that Eden Hazard has picked up a knock to his ankle does not make things any easier. If Jose Mourinho is anything to go by he might just pick a team to contain Arsenal at Stamford Bridge with the intention of hitting Arsenal on the counter. Most importantly if you have enough double gameweek players it’s best to avoid Chelsea completely.
