While Julian Draxler to Arsenal was a continued transfer saga throughout the January transfer window, the rumours have only grown stronger of Draxler’s move to Arsenal. Recently, Draxler rubbished all those rumours and said, “I have absolutely no thoughts of moving. It is guaranteed that there will be speculation, but it’s very, very likely I will play [at Schalke] next season.”
Anyway if indeed Arsenal do miss out on Julian Draxler it is not all bad for the London club and here at Soccersouls we have a look at the potential three replacements.
Antoine Griezmann: The French winger has been in fine form this season dazzling in a Real Sociedad side which made a charge for a Champions League spot late in the campaign. However a fifth spot finish means that Real Sociedad will not be in the Champions League next season which makes it much easier for a club like Arsenal to tempt him. Having already scored 16 goals this season Antoine Greizmann is fast becoming one of the hottest property in world football. If Arsenal want Greizmann they need to act fast as the 23 year old is already getting a lot of suitors across the La Liga and Serie A. A classy winger in the traditional mould he would fit right in at Arsenal.
