Scouting For Liverpool: Three Realistic Summer Transfer Targets

Liverpool certainly had the worst transfer window in January failing to bring any player on board who would invigorate the Reds’ charge for their Champions League aspirations. Mohammed Salah was almost a ‘done deal’ according to major tabloids and rumours closely related to the club but any such deal failed to materialise resulting which the Egyptian sealed his move to London rivals Chelsea.  Konoplynka was also thought to almost having joined the radar, but the Ukrainian failed to come on board. Brendan Rodgers should have a good look at himself while chalking out his plans for the summers while the less said about Ian Ayre, the better. Talking of options though, here are some early scouting updates from Soccersouls as we bring three players whom the Reds from Merseyside can give their shout at.

1. Diego Capel

This Sporting Club de Portugal player has been linked to Reds from Merseyside much before and it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Rumour Mill links him again to Anfield.. The former Sevilla winger is technically astute, a crafty winger who plays very wide, something which would Liverpool enough width on the pitch and run forays across a dodgy defence. Capel can be available for as low as 5m and given by the fiscal ramification of the current transfer market, he is worth the price on whom Rodgers might be thinking on. Moreover he has that exquisite talent to beat opposition defenders with quick feet and possesses a very high work rate, an asset for a team which needs some extra zip in your play. Well it’s tough to see now-a-days Liverpool signing a player behind closed doors and not known to the media but Diego Capel is certainly worth the catch even in front of open doors.
