Scouting Kenedy: Find Out Why Manchester United Are Chasing This Super Brazilian

Kenedy – Scout report

The search for the next Neymar or Brazilian wonder kid goes on and on and on, clubs are now trying to tap up players from Brazilian clubs and are willing to take a risk on them rather than see them move to a small European club and then sign them after a couple of years.

Manchester United seem to be in pole position to sign the striker Kenedy from Fluminense, the 19-year-old striker has scored 5 times in 36 appearances for Fluminense in the league, stats don’t really count much for a player of his age as he still is young and need to learn and hone his skills. We scout the striker and find out just what he is all about and what can Manchester United fans expect from the Brazilian.

A striker on the rise

Kenedy has played for the Brazilian U17 team and finally broke into the U20 team this season. The striker might not have a great scoring record for his club, but he does fare better when he puts on the colours of his country.

Kenedy has scored 7 goals in 20 appearances for the U17 and U20 teams combined, which is a pretty decent record to have at that level. The striker has earlier been linked with a move to Barcelona as well, but United seem to be in charge of the situation and have reported lodged a £5-million bid for the Brazilian.

Kenedy is keen to move to the Premier League and although he is touted to be the next Neymar, he is more in line with the playing style and ability of Hulk. Kenedy seems to have great strength in holding off defenders and also ability to hold onto the ball very well, this would work great for him if he does move to the more physical Premier League.

Manchester United fans can however not think about this signing playing for the first team anytime soon, it is a surety that he will be loaned out to another club or play in the reserve team for a few months at least before they can judge if he is good enough to be a part of the match squad. One thing that United have in favour of trying to sign the gifted individual is that they already have a sort of accord with Fluminense as they had earlier signed the Da Silva twins from the club and that could be a great help if they want to sign the striker from them.
