All Set To Leave? – 5 Players Who May Not Grace The Premier League Next Season

The English Premier League is one of the most attractive leagues in Europe as the amount of competition and financial aid in the league is the higher than other domestic leagues in Europe. So it does not come as a surprise that a number of star players want to move to the PL every summer. However, not every player who plays in the Premier League is a hit in England. Many of them fall prey to the challenges of this intense and interesting league. This summer will be no different either, with clubs around the country readily looking to sell away their fringe stars. Here are 5 players who could possibly leave the Premier League by the end of the season.

Moussa Sissoko (Tottenham Hotspur):

The £30m signing for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer has just not been able to impress his manager and has already been linked with an exit. At 27, he has plenty of years left in him and Italian giants AC Milan are desperate for his signature. Spurs would be ready to sell him if Milan meet their valuation, which would, in turn, allow them to get another player to the club at the end of the current season.

John Terry (Chelsea):

One of the best defenders to have ever played in the Premier League, John Terry might be in his final year at Chelsea. The new manager at the Bridge, Antonio Conte has not used the Englishman extensively this season and with his contract coming to an end this May, Terry might be tempted to try and take on a different test away from England. MLS outfit Orlando City are interested in his signing him, along with a bunch of Chinese clubs also lurking around. So Terry may not stay in the PL after the end of this current season.

Wayne Rooney (Manchester United):

The top goal scorer for Manchester United in their history, Wayne Rooney is an integral part of the squad this season but he has not been able to keep himself fit and is expected to be dropped from the League Cup final against Southampton this weekend. Though the striker has revealed his desire to stay at the club, Mourinho is yet to offer the Manchester United captain a new deal and this might see him end his stint at Old Trafford. A few Chinese clubs are interested in making him the highest paid footballer in the world and it might be an offer too good to turn down for Rooney, given his current situation.

Lucas Leiva (Liverpool):

Another veteran star who might possibly leave the Premier League this season is Liverpool’s midfield star, Lucas Leiva. The Brazilian has been linked with an exit in the last couple of transfer windows but Klopp decided to keep him at the club a little longer. However, with the manager expected to spend big in the summer, Lucas may not be at Anfield come the start of the next season. Gremio and Galatasaray are interested in his signature and Klopp is expected to let him go at the end of the season.

Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea):

The world cup winning midfielder is still among the best in the business, but he has found it hard to get into the first team under Antonio Conte this season and has been linked with an exit from the club. The Spaniard is reportedly wanted in Italy, Spain and he also expressed his desire to move to the US and there will not be any shortage of clubs who will want to snatch him away. With Conte planning to add a top class midfielder, Fabregas probably has just one option: that is to quit the Stamford Bridge this summer.
