Predicted Sheffield United Line-up To Face Reading In The EFL Championship
The Blades remain in the Championship’s top three after a 1-0 win against Ipswich Town last week and they have another eminently winnable fixture here against Reading.
The Royals went to Leeds and won last time but frankly, on recent form at least, this is a different proposition for them and they may well come unstuck. Chris Wilder has been described as one of the best managers in this league recently and who could argue?
Formation: 3-5-2
Manager: Chris Wilder
GK – Jamal Blackman
Having written about him some months ago, it is not surprise on these pages that the on-loan ‘keeper is doing well in this division. He has a Premier League future for sure.
RWB – Jake Wright
With 30 appearances, Wright played an important role in the Blades’ League One rout last term and he may come in here for Freeman.
CB – Chris Basham
The defender scored the winner against the Tractor Boys last time and is playing his game on a real high at present.

CB – Cameron Carter-Vickers
The young American is a real find for Wilder and he will be keen on putting in good performances, in order to keep his parent club manager Pochettino reminded of his presence.
CB – Jack O’Connell
Jack’s been playing his full part in a settled squad of defenders who all work hard for each other. Another start beckons here.
LWB – Enda Stevens
Going along nicely since his arrival and in a line-up which could do without too much change, he should start once more on the left.

CM – John Lundstram
As solid as the back three are, read the same for the midfield three and Lundstram has been playing his full part in their success thus far.
CM – Mark Duffy
The Liverpool-born midfielder has climbed the ranks gradually since his days at Morecambe and fully deserves his own place in the top three of this division.
CM – John Fleck
Once a major prospect at Rangers, Fleck is eventually living up to his potential with the help of Wilder and should start once more.

ST – Leon Clark
United’s crack, older front two know their way around the EFL Championship and are doing a splendid job right now.
ST – Billy Sharp
You can’t help wondering how Sharp would have done had he ever been given a chance in the Premier League, given that some players can score in any division. He may yet get one last chance to prove himself at the top and for now, he is the main man in this team.
