Sign Him Up Koeman – This £30m Celtic Star Could Be The Perfect Replacement For Lukaku

Why Moussa Dembele Will Be A Perfect Replacement For Lukaku

Having signed Jordan pickford for a record £25million (plus £5m add-ons) last week, Everton could be well be on their way to smash that record as well by signing £30million rated Celtic FC striker, Moussa Dembele. It is now well-known that Romelu Lukaku has decided not to extend his Everton contract. So it is almost certain that he will leave, barring a miracle. The way Lukaku has played for Everton, it is really difficult for them to replace him. Nevertheless, this is football, and nobody is irreplaceable. Let’s have a look at why Moussa Dembele would be able to replace Romelu Lukaku at the Goodison Park.

Who is Moussa Dembele?

At the age of 16, Dembele joined Fulham FC from Paris Saint-Germain back in 2012 and quickly went through the ranks to become make his Premier League debut against West Ham United the following year. Despite Fulham’s relegation from the Premier League, Dembele continued his progress in the Championship before joining Celtic FC on a four-year contract last summer. It’s in the Scottish Premiership that Dembele has risen to stardom after a brilliant season under the management of former Liverpool FC manager, Brendan Rodgers. The young striker notched up 32 goals in 48 appearances for The Celts, helping them win the Scottish Premiership once again.

Long road ahead

Not only does Moussa Dembele have all the attributes to become a world-class striker but also has age on his side to progress further. At just 20 years of age, Dembele managed to win the Scottish Premiership in his first season with The Celts. Ronald Koeman will have plenty of time in his hands to nurture and develop Dembele into the next big thing.

Strong and Fast

Apart from being big and strong, Dembele also has plenty of pace to offer. Unlike Lukaku who is known more for his physicality and aim, Dembele brings speed to the table. He can also beat men in the air and launch quick counter-attacks in an instant. He’s also known for scoring acrobatic goals like the one he scored against Manchester City in Champions League last season.

Proven striker

Although the Scottish Premiership may not be as competitive as the Premier League, it certainly does have the same intensity. The Scottish Premiership is just as physically engaging as the Premier League and can sometimes go further than the English top flight. Having established himself in such a tough League, Dembele can surely replicate the same success with Everton.

Value for money

There are not many young strikers with 30 plus goals in a season that are available for as less as £30million in the current market. It would be a shrewd buy considering the mammoth amount of money they’d be receiving from Lukaku’s sale. A smart reinvestment is what I’d call it.
