After suffering a major setback at White Hart Lane the Gunners will now host Premier League’s bottom of the table side Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal are 5th in the table while Leicester are 20th hence it is going to be a very easy fixture for Arsenal and chances of getting all three points are very high. With some regular players sidelined and some regulars back on pitch we can expect Wenger to deploy his strongest possible team. Only players injured out are Wilshere, Arteta and Debuchy. Let us now predict the possible Arsenal team to play against the Foxes.
Formation – 4-2-3-1
Goalkeeper – David Ospina
Since the downfall of Wojciech this man has been doing some good work between the sticks and hence we can expect him to start this game and many more games in future.
Defence – Hector Bellerin, Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny & Nacho Monreal
This has been the routine Arsenal defence since months and taking the sensitivity of Arsenal’s defence into consideration, things won’t change. Every player among these are in top notch form and well dwelled in the line-up. The player who has been giving mesmerizing performance week in week out is Hector Bellerin and if this performance continues we can expect Wenger to make him a routine starter.
Midfield – Francis Coquelin, Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla & Mesut Ozil
Francis Coquelin has become a regular starter for Arsenal since December and will continue to be one till the end of this season. While Aaron Ramsey has now become a more mature midfielder these days and in order to continue his development Wenger will give him a start. Santi is now an irreplaceable figure for the Gunners and hence cannot be benched whereas since his return Ozil has been impressive so we can also expect him to start and an assist or two can also be expected.
Forwards – Oilvier Giroud & Alexis Sanchez
Among Welbeck and Giroud, Giroud is definitely the better one in all aspects and also in current form. Giroud has netted 7 goals in last 13 Premier League appearances which is quite an impressive number and also a reason why he will start. Sanchez was injured since two weeks but now he has received the green signal to go back on the pitch and hence Sanchez will definitely start this match. We can also expect a goal or two from this duo.
