Jose Mourinho’s men now turn attention to the Premier League as they host cross town rivals Arsenal in what is arguably going to play a significant role in this season’s title race. Chelsea’s shock defeat to Aston Villa last weekend blew the title race wide open and as this turns out to be a must win game for either sides in the race to the finish fir the title.
Can yet hosts end the Gunners’ dreams and what would be their strongest lineup. We here at Soccersouls have the answer for our readers.
Goalkeeper:
Petr Cech will have a tough outing thanks to Arsenal’s attacking verve.
Defenders:
Aston Villa’s pace did cause trouble to Chelsea’s centre back pairing of John Terry and Gary Cahill but the English duo were sublime against Galatasaray in midweek. Arsenal will have quite a tough time breaking their resilience at the back as both look ice cool in times of danger and look assured in possession. Branislav Ivanovic will start in the right back slot while the brilliant Cesar Azpilicueta takes his place on the left, continuing to impress and keeping Ashley Cole out from the side.
