After beating the league leaders (Arsenal) on their last game day, Manchester United are in a good form at the moment. They would like to continue the winning momentum as they travel to face Cardiff at the weekend in what could be a very interesting premier league game.

Injury News

The Red Devils suffer major injury blow as their key midfielder Michael Carrick is out with an achilles problem, while young striker Danny Welbeck and defender Phil Jones are also expected to miss the trip to Cardiff.

Strongest Manchester United Lineup

De Gea

Smalling Vidic Evans Evra

Cleverley Giggs

 Januzaj                         Nani

Rooney

Van Persie

Attack

With Robin van Persie passing the fitness test after an injury scare and with in-form Rooney available, United’s attack has enough flair/ talent to beat any any defense in the league, on their day. Cardiff’s defense will have a tough day ahead.

Wings

Two inverted wingers  Januzaj and Nani should start the game. This may result in less crosses but will add more directness to United’s attacking moves. Nani, who should be a very confident guy after Portugal’s World Cup Qualification must start the game ahead of Valencia.

Central Midfield

Midfield is the main problem for the defending champions. Cleverley and Giggs are expected to start in the pivot, which by any means does not look like their strongest midfield pair.

Defense

Defense looks unchanged as Vidic and Evans are staring to have a solid partnership between them. Smalling and Evra are expected to be the fullbacks for the game.
