Real Madrid defeated Barcelona and ended their 39 matches unbeaten run when the sides clashed in La Liga last Saturday. The task is not finished yet for Zidane because his team is still 7 points behind the Catalan Giants. The side will need to close down the deficit as they have only 6 matches in their hand and a defeat in a single match would wind up their ambitions of winning the title.
Though Barcelona took the lead in the game, Madrid showed real determination to fight back and eventually Ronaldo fired the winner in the last few minutes of the game and the team won with just 10 players on the pitch.
Coming to the Champions League, Real Madrid out muscled AS Roma in the round of 16 by winning it 4-0 on aggregate and the next stop for the Galacticos will be the Volkswagen Arena where they will be facing Wolfsburg in the first leg of this season’s UEFA Champions League quarter Finals.

Goalkeeper: Keylor Navas-
One of most trustworthy player for Zidane this season. Made some really good saves in the game against Barcelona, this player will surely feature in their next game as they will be looking to out power the German Giants. The French manager may go for the unchanged midfield lineup as they showed their full potential in the game against the Catalan Giants. Casemiro had an exceptionally great game as he was able to cut the comedy for Lionel Messi many times in the game and Zidane could opt for Isco to come in his place as a substitute when they will have some stability in the game. Modric, on the other hand, is irreplaceable in many aspects. Undoubtedly, BBC steals all the headlines from the team but no one can overlook his performance in the team.
Strikers: Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo-
Any doubt about that? The Champions League leading goal scorer (Cristiano Ronaldo) will be stepping out on the pitch to continue his ultimate goal scoring form. He has 13 goals to his name so far in the competition and is 4 goals short of breaking his own record. An interesting stat about the Portuguese skipper- He has faced six games against the German sides in the knockout ties and has scored in all of them. The run started back in 2011-12 where he scored a brace against the German leaders Bayern Munich.
Bale and Benzema will be working alongside the Portuguese as the team will be looking to add some more goals in their tally of 23 Champions League goals this season.
