Rangers Player Ratings vs Spartak Moscow: Here’s how the Gers fared
Rangers‘ progress to the knockout phase of Europa League remains on track despite a frustrating night at the Ibrox against Spartak Moscow. Steven Gerrard’s men bossed the play but couldn’t capitalise on the chances created. As a result, the Scottish side were held to a 0-0 draw.
This was the time in 11 home games that the Gers failed to scored at the Ibrox. They sit on top of the table in the group, with Villarreal placed second. Gerrard would be happy to keep a clean sheet though, as their unbeaten run in Europe increases to 11 matches.

The Moscow team never really looked like scoring or testing McGregor in goal. A rather comfortable night for a goalkeeper when the opposition had just four attempts on goal.
James Tavernier (7)
Tried to make things happen by bombing forward from right-back position, but it wasn’t to be.
Joe Worrall (7)
A comfortable and commanding outing for the centre-back who was never truly tested by the opposition attackers. His long-range passing was sumptuous.
Connor Goldson (5)
Started the game shakily, making errors that were uncalled for. His passing wasn’t good either. Stuck to the task after settling down, especially in the second half.
Jon Flanagan (7)
The right-sided defender did more than a decent job at left-back. He thundered into tackles and made intelligent runs forward.
Ryan Jack (7)
Came back from injury with an assured performance in the midfield. Mopped up the danger and did a terrific job by keeping his team ticking.
Ovie Ejaria (6)
Ejaria looked comfortable in an advanced midfield role, making runs and providing a genuine threat to the opposition defence. However, the final pass was lacking.
Lassana Coulibaly (5.5)
Covered a vast portion of the ground without really impacting the game. A good first-half attempt of his was blocked on the line.
Daniel Candeias (7)
Provided some dangerous balls into the box but was guilty of choosing the wrong option in key areas of the pitch. His work rate was phenomenal though.
Ryan Kent (7)
The youngster continues to impress as his quick feet and marvellous wing play left Spartak defence at sixes and sevens. His decision-making is getting better as well.
Alfredo Morelos (6)
Should have scored at least one goal today. However, the ever-energetic Colombian ran himself into the ground and tested the keeper with efforts on target.
