West Ham Player Ratings vs Everton – Here’s how the Hammers fared
West Ham United have claimed their first win of the season at the expense of Everton at Goodison Park with a comfortable scoreline of 3-1. A brace from Andriy Yarmolenko in the first half, followed by a goal from Marko Arnautovic in the second half sealed the deal for Manuel Pellegrini’s men. Everton had a sniff at the stroke of half-time when Glyfi Sigurdsson pulled one back.
Overall, it was a commanding performance from the Hammers, who showed the desire to really play well and get a positive result.
West Ham Player Ratings
Lukasz Fabianski (7)
Made two very good saves off Cenk Tosun and Theo Walcott. Still waiting for his first clean sheet but he has been good.
Pablo Zabaleta (7)
A good performance from the veteran who gave no chance to Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Got booked in the second half but had a comfortable afternoon.
Issa Diop (7.5)
Could have scored a goal in the first half, however, made a fabulous challenge to deny Tosun. A real brick wall at the back for West Ham.
Fabian Balbuena (6.5)
He got caught off the pace on a few occasions which let his defending down. Apart from that, he solid at the back.
Arthur Masuaku (7)
Was defensively sound and made some very good runs to trouble the Everton back-line. Provided able support to Felipe Anderson.
Pedro Obiang (7.5)
A commanding presence in the midfield and a welcome return to form for Obiang. Good exchange of passes with Arnautovic resulted in him assisting the latter for the third goal.
Declan Rice (8.5)
A fantastic performance from Rice right from the first whistle. Didn’t miss anything in the midfield and passing was just outstanding.
Mark Noble (7)
Noble’s passing was a bit off-radar but his tackling and tenacity to move about in the midfield can’t be counted out.
Felipe Anderson (7)
Did not have a very good first half where he looked devoid of ideas. Came back well in the second half and had the beating of Jonjoe Kenny.
Andriy Yarmolenko (8.5)
Scored two goals, the second of which was a scorcher. Not a bad way to mark his first start in the Premier League. Got exhausted in the second half when defensive tracking was necessary. Overall, very impactful and clinical.
Marko Arnautovic (8)
Assisted the first goal, scored the third and was an all-around threat to Everton’s back-line. Fantastic.

Came on for Arnautovic and played up front on his own. Had two sniffs at goal but nothing clear cut.
Carlos Sanchez (Subbed on after 71 mins) (5)
Came to add fresh legs to the midfield and did that well.
