The ex-Southampton was sought by Louis Van Gaal last summer and the Dutchman was not successful in signing him but this summer Jurgen Klopp pulled off the deal. Now the player has specifically mentioned that not only Manchester United but other clubs were interested in him but he chose to join Liverpool because of the club’s massive history and the coach.
While this statement will make the Liverpool fans happy, in the Manchester United’s defense, the Red Devils did not attempt to sign Mane this summer and it is possible that Louis Van Gaal just did not appeal to Mane.
