The Legend of Dark Pirate Prince – Luis Suarez

“Oh, better far to live and die/Under the brave black flag I fly,Than play a sanctimonious part,With a pirate head and a pirate heart.Away to the cheating world go you,Where pirates all are well-to-do;But I’ll be true to the song I sing,And live and die a Pirate King.”

End of January 2011, a prophecy was made,

“The time when the devils gain ground and control the whole kingdom, the time when  the old king was imprisoned within himself and was just allowed to watch the devils’ play, then a dark prince will rise to save the kingdom.”

Liverpool sign Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez from Dutch club Ajax in a five-and-a-half year deal worth about £22.7m.

Suarez was born in Salto, Uruguay but it was after he moved the capital city Montevideo that his footballing talents were recognized. From a child prodigy honing his skills in streets to a most fearful striker in the world – It is a trilogical story of a legend, of a hero and of a villain.

In footballing terms, he is a sharp and a good finisher, the footballing artful dodger. As Liverpool’s main man for three seasons running, his scoring prowess and all round work ethic is as precious as the ruling ring was to Gollum for this football club.

From some the 50 yard wonder strikes to Lord Shiva’s Bhadra dance like dribbles, he can do anything. He currently holds the record of having nutmegged at least one defender in 24 different top flight English teams. He can use both feet for scoring, good in air considering his height, can play in any attacking positions, deadly at set pieces and has a creative footballing brain. Infinite superlatives are required to describe his super natural talents.

This would have been a fairy story had the tale ended there. Unfortunately , the prince has a dark side of him, a demon within. The pirate prince we talk about here has the cosmic energies of angelic gods but with a demonic touch of a cheeky pirate.

Suarez has had discipline problems since his early years. At the age of 15 he was red carded for head butting an opponent whilst playing for Nacional. But it didn’t end there, monstrous biting, racist comments, cheeky dives and arrogant celebrations. It goes on and on… His aura of arrogance, diving and showboating skills making him less likeable figure among the common footballing mass.

“A Lawyer will do anything to win a case, sometimes he will even tell the truth.”

This is kali yuga (modern era). Ethics of warfare are long forgotten. You can shoot an enemy from behind if that is what requires to bring justice and victory to your side. That is how the world rolls at the moment! That is what Suarez is and that is what Suarez does. Why blame Suarez alone?

But the bigger question is, will the chosen prince fulfill the prophecy? He is on a side mission right now to grab a fourth spot for this club. If that happens, then he can route back to his main quest of eliminating the devils from his beloved kingdom.

If he completes the mission! What an epic story that would be!
